Specialist, Learning
The Role:
We are looking for a Specialist, Learning to support the People Development team in various projects and programmes, including logistics and coordination functions.Location/Contract Details:
WWF International in Gland, Switzerland. Fixed-term contract (February to December 2016) starting as soon as possible.Main responsibilities:
- Supports all aspects of event management for face to face learning programmes (i.e. Intro Course, PMP, WWF NEXT etc.), including logistics and coordination. Manages participants’ communication and coordination.
- Acts as team coordinator for PD. Supports PD Head and Partners with financial and administrative activities. Supports PD Head with travel and schedule management.
- Actively participates in driving the adoption of relational learning in WWF, primarily by supporting and managing Coaching and Mentoring activities in coordination with Partner, Learning and Culture.
- Contributes to the management of virtual learning activities on all PD learning and assessment platforms (i.e. e-Campus, Yammer, DDI 360). Monitors and evaluates use of platforms and collects and processes learning analytics to drive continuous improvement and innovation in PD’s approaches.
- Supports the design, development and implementation of the new WWF approach to learning in coordination with Partner, Learning and Culture and the PD team, including platform design and development, communication materials and activities, engagement with the HR community and other stakeholders.
- Contributes to PD projects, initiatives and campaigns. Plays an active role in driving PD branding and communication activities.
- Performs other duties on ongoing projects as agreed mutually within the PD team.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Competencies
- Commercial diploma or university degree;
- At least 3 years relevant experience in an international environment;
- Experience working in Learning and Development and/or in Event Management an advantage;
- Strong customer focus;
- Team player and ability to take initiative;
- Diplomacy and ability to deal with a variety of situations and confidential issues;
- Ability to build relationships and foster effective communication;
- Good organizational, administrative, multitasking and prioritization skills;
- Good communication skills, both orally and in writing;
- Advanced knowledge of social media tools, online learning tools;
- Strong command of English, French an asset;
- Interest in conservation and WWF's work;
- Adheres to WWF’s values, which are: Knowledgeable, Optimistic, Determined and Engaging.
