Intern Reports to: Chief Executive Officer and General Manager
Summary: The Web Design Intern will work closely with the Web Design Team on a variety of web projects and concepts. The intern will act as an assistant and contribute to the company’s internal and external website as well as proof, format and design content. The intern will also assist and provide relief to the TORQUE Team.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Applicant should have the required, skills, graduated or be currently enrolled at an accredited university/college
  • Applicant should have the background or be a Major in any Information Technology, Computer Science or similar field
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support the maintenance and updating of back-end of company’s internal and external client websites.
  • Publish approved content on the company’s and clients social media platforms.
  • Work closely with the web, graphics and social media team to develop content for TORQUEs internal and client websites, social media platforms.
  • Limited copy writing/editing and editing of raw and website content
  • Carryout research on proposed web related topics
  • Support the office team by taking notes, answering phones professionally and sensitively.
  • Proficiency in web development tools (WordPress, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.) and firm grasp of the back-end and digital space.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Photoshop.
  • Proficiency in in Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
  • Basic Knowledge of coding in HTML5, CSS3 and PHP or any other.
  • Impeccable grammatical, spelling, and proofreading abilities.
  • Effective communicator – both written and oral.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in partnership with a team.
  • Ability to define and work to deadlines.
  • Be self-directed and willing to take initiative, and detail-oriented.
  • Respect and maintain the confidentiality of client’s assets and resources
  • The intern will be an essential member of the team.
  • Supervision will be conducted by the Chief Executive Officer and General Manager
Time Commitment
  • 15-25 hours/week (Monday to Friday)
  • Preference will be given to those who can commit to a minimum of 8 weeks of service. Internship will go on to 12 weeks
  • Work will be done within office hours from Monday to Friday between 8:00am 5:00pm
  •  Internship position is unpaid, but intern may be eligible for an award of K2, 000 at the completion of the entire 12 weeks of the internship depending on performance and contribution.

  • Transport (Bus Fare) to and from work will be provided for the duration of the internship.
