The U.S. Mission in Zambia is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Branch
Chief – Care, Treatment and Prevention.

Under the leadership of the CDC Director and Associate Director for Science, incumbent provides
technical oversight and guidance in the implementation of CDC funded activities in relation to Care,
Treatment and Prevention in Zambia. Responsibilities include direct supervision of the specialists in
the Care, Treatment and Prevention Branch to ensure that the planned activities are carried out in a
timely manner, either directly by CDC or through CDC's implementing partners in Zambia.

activities adhere to best practices.

1. EDUCATION: Post-graduate degree in medicine with a valid license to practice medicine in
Zambia is required. A postgraduate degree in public health and/or tropical medicine is also
2. EXPERIENCE: A combination of at least eight (8) years of medical practice, research or
teaching in the area of HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, or Sexually Transmitted Infections is required.
3. LANGUAGE: Level IV (fluent) English and Level III (good working knowledge) of one or
