Job Title: Reproductive Health Providers (Luapula based in Mansa x 1, Muchinga based in Mpika x 1 and Cooperbelt to be based in Ndola x1)
The successful candidates will improve access to high-quality Reproductive health services, including long-term Family planning methods.  The RH Provider will be responsible for building the capacity of public providers to offer family planning methods including implants and the IUDs.  Towards this goal, the RH Provider will mentor and provide on-site clinical support and monitor compliance with service delivery and counselling standards to ensure that Public sector providers adhere to national RH standards and guidelines.  The RH Provider will also supervise demand creation activities to increase RH client flow at participating provider facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Family Planning Methods including long acting reversible contraceptives (LARC) in public facilities.
  • Support family planning service delivery at Rural outreach sites and/or Urban public sector health centres as needed.
  • Supervise demand creation activities conducted by health promoters to generate informed demand for modern family planning methods and ensure that providers and clients are informed of benefits of reversible long-term methods.
  • Assist coordination and monitoring of community-level RH activities undertaken by Community Based Distributors.
  • Provide on-site mentorship to ensure that public sector providers provide high quality intrauterine device (IUD) services, implant insertion and removal services including confidential client-centred counselling.
  • Lead field-based Quality assurance activities including supervision, monitoring and support of/for providers in consultation with the QA
  • Maintain a daily record of clients seen and other activities based on SFH MIS forms and ensure timeliness of submission of all data to relevant personnel.
  • Help analyze SFH RH data and contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
  • Contribute to training and other SFH-led RH activities as needed.
  • Attend to other related duties as provided by the supervisor
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Diploma in Nursing.
  • Registered with the General Nursing Council.
  • Must possess a valid practicing license General Nursing Council of Zambia.
  • Midwifery qualification is an added advantage
  • At least 3 years’ experience in providing RH services, including counselling.
  • Experience with community based RH activities preferable.
  • Demonstrated competency in interval as well as post-partum IUD services as well as implant insertion and removal.
  • Demonstrated track record of his/her ability to foster collaboration with the Government of the Republic of
  • Zambia and other donor funded projects
