Counterpart International is currently seeking a Field Support Consultant to support the development of a proposal for a U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) opportunity in Zambia. The proposed project will seek to reduce the prevalence of adolescent girls engaged in child labor in targeted rural areas in Zambia by increasing access to acceptable work, quality training, and educational and vocational opportunities. The purpose of this consultancy is to provide logistical support to the Counterpart team that includes arranging travel to designated sites, scheduling meetings with key stakeholders, and coordinating daily schedules. Other duties will include support for program design, partnership development, budgeting/pricing, and recruitment. Strong preference will be given to candidates with technical knowledge in child labor, gender inclusion, youth development especially with girls, and/or economic strengthening in the rural Zambian context. This position will report to the Business Development Officer.

Counterpart International is currently seeking a Project Director for the anticipated 4-year EMPOWER: Increasing Economic and Social Empowerment for Adolescent Girls and Vulnerable Women in Zambia program under the Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB), U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). The goal of the program is to reduce the prevalence of adolescent girls engaged in child labor in targeted rural areas in Zambia by increasing access to acceptable work, quality training, educational and vocational opportunities. The program will also collaborate with Government and private sector stakeholders to promote acceptable work for target populations and will raise public awareness around the issues of gender inequality and child labor. The Project Director will be responsible for the overall technical direction and management of program implementation and staff. S/he will also be the liaison with the DOL and Counterpart headquarters and represent the program to government, private sector partners, and relevant donor organizations. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of successful project management for programs of comparable size and knowledge of child labor issues in Zambia. 

Counterpart International is currently seeking a Community and Business Development and Livelihood Specialist for the anticipated 4-year EMPOWER: Increasing Economic and Social Empowerment for Adolescent Girls and Vulnerable Women in Zambia program under the Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB), U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). The goal of the program is to reduce the prevalence of adolescent girls engaged in child labor in targeted rural areas in Zambia by increasing access to acceptable work, quality training, educational and vocational opportunities. The program will also collaborate with Government and private sector stakeholders to promote acceptable work for target populations and will raise public awareness around the issues of gender inequality and child labor. The Specialist will be responsible for developing and delivering entrepreneurship and livelihood training modules in an effort to expand access to acceptable economic opportunities for vulnerable women and girls. S/he will also be responsible for building public and private partnerships in order to strengthen networks of female entrepreneurs. The ideal candidate will have at least three years' experience in a leadership position responsible for livelihoods interventions and economic strengthening and building partnerships, especially with the private sector. This is a full time position based in Lusaka, Zambia with potential regional travel. 

Counterpart International is currently seeking a Youth Training and Employment Specialist (YTES) for the anticipated 4-year EMPOWER: Increasing Economic and Social Empowerment for Adolescent Girls and Vulnerable Women in Zambia program under the Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB), U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). The goal of the program is to reduce the prevalence of adolescent girls engaged in child labor in targeted rural areas in Zambia by increasing access to acceptable work, quality training, educational and vocational opportunities. The program will also collaborate with Government and private sector stakeholders to promote acceptable work for target populations and will raise public awareness around the issues of gender inequality and child labor. The YTES will be responsible for developing, managing, and implementing technical, vocational, and entrepreneurial training for adolescent girls engaged in or at-risk of engaging in child labor. The YTES will coordinate with government agencies, employers, and social networks to promote employment opportunities for youth and raise public awareness of child labor and gender equality. This is a full time position based in Lusaka, Zambia with potential regional travel and is contingent on funding. 

Counterpart International is currently seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer for the for the anticipated 4-year EMPOWER: Increasing Economic and Social Empowerment for Adolescent Girls and Vulnerable Women in Zambia program under the Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB), U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). The goal of the program is to reduce the prevalence of adolescent girls engaged in child labor in targeted rural areas in Zambia by increasing access to acceptable work, quality training, educational and vocational opportunities. The program will also collaborate with Government and private sector stakeholders to promote acceptable work for target populations and will raise public awareness around the issues of gender inequality and child labor. The M&E Officer will design effective data collection tools for the program, oversee the monitoring of all program activities, train staff in M&E methods and tools, and oversee the implementation of project surveys. S/he will serve as liaison to the impact evaluator. The ideal candidate will have considerable experience conducting M&E on projects of comparable size, knowledge of US Government-funded program reporting requirements and be familiar with East Africa.
