IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
We require a suitably qualified individual to provide IT assistance to a team based in Lusaka, Zambia on a full time limited duration contract for a period not exceeding 2 years. All non-Zambian candidates must either have a valid Zambian work permit or not have any legal impediment to obtain a Zambian work permit.
Required Education & Experience:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- 1 – 2 years working experience in IT
- Fluent in English
Advantageous Education & Experience:
- Degree/ Diploma/ Certification in Information Technology or related studies
- Office 365 Experience
- Active Directory Experience
- Dropbox Experience
Responsibilities:
The primary tasks, functions and deliverables of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Acting as an on-site extension of the company’s ICT and external IT support company.
- Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications.
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
- Troubleshooting system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
- Replacing hardware as required.
- Supporting the roll-out of new software.
- Setting up new users’ accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues.
- Maintaining a good working relationship with staff and external IT support company.
- Manage local external IT suppliers such as internet and printing.
- Manage the Ticketing system.
