The Childfund Zambia National office is currently seeking suitably qualified and experienced persons to join the Program Team.
Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Div/Dept: Program
Location: National Office
Reporting Relationship: Project Manager-ReadyToWork
Job Purpose:Responsible for supporting the development, management, monitoring and evaluation of the e-learning ReadyToWork project activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversight of all aspects of M&E.
Providing leadership on baseline and evaluation surveys.
Development of data collection tools.
Data management and analysis for reporting.
Development of M&E plans.
Demonstrating project results in accordance with project work plans and M&E plans.
Development of data base.
Overseeing on-going monitoring and evaluation of project activities and utilization of data
to improve service delivery.
Capacity building and provision of support to Local Partner staff involved in M&E activities of the ready to work project.
Close liaison with ChildFund National Office M&E staff to ensure accurate collection, management and utilization of information.
Provide leadership in documentation and dissemination of best practices and lessons learned.
Participate in the review and development of plans and budgets as well as monitoring of
expenditures.
Regular travel to target Districts to assess and monitor project activities and provide support to District and Local Partner Staff involved in the project.
Provision of guidance to Local Partner Staff on the Monitoring aspects of the project.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIRNCE:
Degree in statistical related field, Social Sciences, Development Studies, M&E.
At least 3 years working experience in Monitoring and Evaluation of projects.
M&E for Community Development, Youth Development, Economic/Livelihood Development Projects.
ABILITIES
Program Management: plans, monitors and evaluates effectiveness of project interventions
Crisis Management: analyses root causes and implements contingency measures in a timely manner
Organization Development: maintains an awareness of changing organization issues and needs and adapts accordingly
Training and Development: training needs analysis on M&E, training design and delivery.
Financial Management: monitors expenditures and keeps costs reasonable.

Position Summary
Responsible for the oversight of the Youth ReadyToWork youth empowerment funded by Barclays Bank.
Provide national level coordination, networking and supervision of program activities in the target Districts and communities.
Duties/Responsibilities
Oversight of all aspects of program implementation and ensuring consistency of approach across the target Districts.
Ensuring the ReadyToWork program is carried out within budget, on schedule and according to the approved proposal.
Demonstrating project results in accordance with project work plans and M&E plans.
Participation in on-going monitoring and evaluation of project activities.
Regular Project reporting.
Provision of leadership and support to M&E Officer and Local Partner staff involved in the ReadyTowork project.
Networking and liasing with District and National level government institutions and other
organisations involved in the implementation of the ReadyToWork Project.
Close liaison with IT, E-learning and finance staff to ensure a high standard of service delivery and financial accountability for the project.
Management of donor relations by liaising with Barclays Bank Focal point person to ensure adherence to set guidelines.
Participation in advocacy initiatives to ensure increased uptake of the ReadyToWork curriculum and methodology in government trainings methodology in government trainings.
Participation in documentation and dissemination of best practices and lessons learned.
Oversee the review and development of plans and budgets as well as monitoring expenditures.
Regular travel to target Districts to assess and monitor project activities and provide support to District and Local Partner Staff involved in the project.
Development of performance objectives and provide required guidance and support to employee under supervision.
Monitoring and reviewing performance of staff under supervision to ensure that He/She works towards meeting His/Her performance objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIRNCE:
Degree in Business Management, Social Sciences, Education, Youth Development, Community Development.
At least 5 years of relevant work experience (essential)
Community Development, Youth Development, Economic/Livelihood Development, E-Learning experience added advantage.
