Product Sales Specialist- Surface Mines
The role
The Product Sales Specialist will be responsible for sales across target surface mines, construction site and distributors in Sales Area. Key aspects of the responsibilities are building long-term relationships and expanding business opportunities, which require detailed understanding of the target market with the sole mission to increase market share through sales.
  • Business planning, budgeting, forecasting and following up of the product line(s)
  • Keep up to date with competition activities and ensure market competitiveness
  • Collect and maintain market data of own and competitors activities
  • Ensure sales support within the product line(s)
  • Suggest and evaluate distributors, in cooperation with dealer manager if applicable
  • Responsible for achievement of budgeted revenue
  • Responsible for price quality in line with Sandvik’s processes and rules
  • Develop sales opportunities for Sandvik product lines within the defined territory or set of customers
  • Standard Order (options already existing in Sales Tools): Define Sandvik Offering using standard specification sheet
  • Develop a Sales plan for designated territory or set of customers/ distributors
  • Ensure Customer is in compliance with Sandvik terms and conditions of sale
  • Liaise between Customers and Sandvik to ensure all issues are settled in a timely manner
  • Provide the Company with regular status reports on business activities, opportunity development and overall satisfaction of the Customers base (CRM)
  • Work as part of the account management team for local or global accounts to identify customer sales opportunities
  • Ensure CRM/ sales Tools are up to date with valid cases and customer visit reports.

Your Profile
  • 10 years’ experience with Sandvik equipment
  • 3 years Management experience in the Technical product field
  • Experience in technical discussions with middle management & business discussions with senior management
  • Successful Value selling experience
  • Experience in project and operational management
  • Business acumen and background in business and account management
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Mining) or 10 years’ experience in a Mining, Technical and Sales environment
  • Registered Engineer
  • Computer literate with proven Computer skills
  • Sandvik product knowledge
  • Strong technical background across engineering disciplines
  • Fitness for underground and surface mines (Silicosis Certification).
